I'm voting for doing the special topic by sending the papers to each other rather than having a meeting. I'm also changing my topics:
December: Church, State, and Public Justice
Janurary: Politics.
I like the discussions that take place when we meet live, but I don't think we can possibly do justice to 9 topics as broad as these are in a single 3-hour meeting.
Anyone want to just meet all day? I might be up for it.
If we exchange papers I'd like to preserve the intereactive element somehow. Perhaps we could use this blog to respond to the topics and book summaries once we exchange them.
Also, I always prefer to get a hard copy even if I have an email copy, so I'd like to have copies of the theological topic book write-ups distributed at the January meeting although we probably will have read them by then.
I'm glad Kevin is doing the government and politics topics. I'd like to keep my special topics (Canaanite genocide and art) but do my second general presentation on *The Soul of Science* by Nancy Pearcey.
PS Does anyone have a copy of the Baptist Faith and Message book that I could borrow?
